This short book by Ladva (2013) contains a lot of valuable information about developing and maintaining satisfying relationships. According to author, in life, we generally experience happiness, fulfillment and satisfaction through healthy relationships. However, today, healthy personal and professional relationships have become difficult to cultivate and maintain. When relationships turn negative, our dispositions change and we change the way we feel about ourselves as well as others. Ladva (2013) ascertains that development and management of healthy relationships requires knowledge, skills, insights, time, effort, determination, patience, and trust that can be acquired. Further, our most important relationship is relationship to self and it is the quality of this relationship that reflects in the quality of our all other relationships. For those who are willing to undertake the work necessary for healthy relationships, it is essential to know that we must let go of our tendency of taking sorrow from the comments and actions of other people.
