Excellent Book

This is an excellent book for those wanting to diagnose and address multi-layered generational curses. Knowing you may be dealing with a curse is not enough. General prayers do not work for some curses. This book gives a thorough examination of the symptoms and issues, the root causes and the step by step instructions on how to overcome and be free. It's already a tough lot that we have to pay someone else's bill and breaking through to victory takes real work but for those like myself who may find themselves having to address and break long standing generational curses - then you need this book. I have found no other book as thorough as this one. I highly recommend it!!!!!

About the Author
Dante Alighieri was born in Florence in 1265 and belonged to a noble but impoverished family. His life was divided by political duties and poetry, the most of famous of which was inspired by his meeting with Bice Portinari, whom he called Beatrice,including La Vita Nuova and The Divine Comedy. He died in Ravenna in 1321.

This translation is outstanding!! And the notes are very helpful as well. This text is one of the richest texts I've ever read. Dante is amazing. This is like a Cathedral in verse, or, as someone said, it is like Aquinas' Summa in verse. The fundamental lesson from Dante's Purgatory is not that Purgatory is a literal place (though D. may have thought so) with these literal punishments, but he wants his reader to see the true, destructive, nature of sin, and how it pulls us away from the full pleasure of God's presence, and causes us to seek pleasure in a perverted way in various other things that cannot satisfy. It has a powerful spiritual lesson. It also conveys (to me, a Protestant) the most attractive elements of Catholicism: a rich spirituality that ties all of life together through spiritual practices (liturgy, prayer, sacraments, etc.). This work is truly breathtaking.

I bought these 3 volumes for a course, which was then postponed indefinitely. But since I'd already started reading, I kept at it. I'd tried reading/studying the Divine Comedy before, without success - too dry. The translator of this version is just excellent, presenting the text in a beautiful flowing, readable English.

Una excepci�n a esto es que hemos restaurado el nombre Yah (Salmo 68:4) en los nombres de personas que terminan con “�as”, como por ejemplo, Isa�as, que hemos puesto como Isaiah. Eso es porque en la versi�n griega Septuaginta se sustituy� la h final de esos nombres hebreos por una s; y en esos casos hemos restaurado la h final a su lugar correspondiente. Una caracter�stica sobresaliente en esta versi�n es que hemos traducido siempre la palabra hebrea Elohim como “Poderoso” cuando se refiere al Padre eterno. Cuando se refiere a �dolos la hemos vertido como “”deidades” o “poderosos”. Hemos prescindido de la palabra espa�ola “Dios” por varias razones. Una es porque la palabra “Dios” se ha convertido en un clich� que ha perdido significado real en espa�ol. Otra raz�n es que la palabra hebrea eloh�m tiene varios significados; se aplica en las Escrituras Hebreas a divinidades, a �dolos, a jueces, a �ngeles y a reyes; esto no tiene sentido cuando se utiliza la palabra espa�ola “dios”. Lo mismo hemos hecho con la palabra griega the�s.

Los pasajes o t�rminos en las escrituras del Nuevo Pacto que ponemos entre corchetes, [ ], es porque han sido a�adidos en copias griegas posteriores, del siglo 12, y no aparecen en los textos griegos m�s antiguos del siglo 4. Pero algunos de ellos aparecen tambi�n en la antigua Peshita aramea del siglo 2, por eso los hemos retenido en el texto, aunque entre corchetes. Las palabras o frases que no aparecen en la antigua Peshita, las hemos dejado fuera.

Al final de esta edici�n puede verse un ap�ndice con la lista de palabras a�adidas; y otro ap�ndice con pasajes que se pueden leer en casos de necesidades especiales; y una nota explicativa de Juan 1:1.

Hemos puesto cuidado especial en preservar el lenguaje castizo y cl�sico de la Reina Valera del 1909 pero actualizando un poco algunas palabras que ya no se usan o que no se entienden bien. En consonancia con esto hemos sustituido el “vosotros” de Espa�a por el “ustedes” de Latinoam�rica. Adem�s, se han hecho algunas correcciones menores al texto tradicional para adecuar esta edici�n a los mejores y m�s antiguos manuscritos hebreos y griegos, incluido el Isaiah de Qumr�n.

Bad Misrepresentation of repackaged 1st edition

I don't know why this book received so many good reviews. As I began reading, I kept feeling like I had read these passages before. I had a serious sense of Deja Vu. Most of this book is the first half or so of Lathan's first publication of the 3rd book in the series, The Darcys At Year's End. From what I have seen of her first 3 publications (Two Shall Become One: Mr & Mrs Fitzwilliam Darcy, Journey's Beyond Pemberley and Darcy's Year's End), they almost directly correlate with her new publications of Mr and Mrs Fitzwilliam Darcy, Loving Mr Darcy: Journeys Beyond Pemberley, My Dearest Mr Darcy, and In the Arms of Mr Darcy. Considering her first books consisted of 3 in the series, most people who purchased them before they were renamed and repackaged, would assume the fourth book (In the Arms of Mr Darcy) would be a continuation. It is NOT entirely true. My Dearest Mr Darcy and In the Arms of Mr Darcy are split versions of her original third publication, The Darcy's At Years End. So if you did not read the original versions, I can see why you liked it so. I'm just hugely disappointed. I just wasted money on buying a book that I didn't know I already possessed. So if you have read or own the 3 original books, please skip My Dearest Mr Darcy and In the Arms of Mr Darcy and wait for the upcoming 5th, The Trouble with Mr Darcy. That one should be a fresh, newly written book.

More Than a "Vague Inclination"--Another Sweet Read

I happen to be a real fan of Sharon Lathan's novels and writing style. Honestly, I feel very comfortable with her writing, and trust in the sentence structure to carry me through a beautiful story. It is interesting to me how her personal voice adds that second level to the romantic story, making it even sweeter. The experiences that Darcy and Elizabeth share are fun to witness, and although the birth of the baby seems to take an agonizingly long time to get to, there is a "real time" feeling about the story. There really isn't a complication to be resolved, outside of the birth of the baby, so much of our reading time is spent in high anticipation for the big moment. We get to trip along with the Darcys, viewing their loving relationship like a great voyeur, reveling in their breathless love and happiness. After all, who doesn't want a relationship filled with such depths of love and devotion? Yes, it touched off my romantic side. Sigh. Once again, the novel does have scenes of a sensual nature, but not as graphic as in many romance novels today.

As always, I loved reading Lathan's third novel. The joy in this read is in the ramblings down seaside coasts and forest trails; the joy comes in the love and the pain. In some very simple ways, lovers of Pride and Prejudice have already imagined such sweet and loving scenes as painted for us in the pages of these novels, but here we get to sit back and enjoy their story as it unfolds. I really felt that this novel started to feel more like they were starting to slip into their settled roles, yet still filled with love. I enjoyed watching them relax into their marriage, and continue down the path towards becoming a great family. This was a great third installment, and I can already hardly wait for the fourth!

I tremendously enjoyed reading Sharon Lathan's My Dearest Mr. Darcy, the third volume of her Darcy Saga. The book lovingly continues her portrayal of the happy marriage of Pride and Prejudice's Elizabeth and Darcy. The novel captivated me as much as the first two books in this series. It is an infinite joy to follow the Darcys and their family and friends on their journey through life. I also love the way Sharon Lathan effortlessly, naturally and wonderfully weaves in interesting details (based on extensive research)about daily Regency life into the book.

I tremendously love the author's wonderful, captivating and inviting writing style. She is a fabulous master painter with words and writes with an enormous attention to detail. I am always completely drawn into her novels from the start.

All Sharon Lathan's novels enormously warm my heart to the core. They are beautifully romantic, sensual, passionate, heart-warming, moving, positive and humorous. And so beautifully written. For me the Darcy Saga novels are by far the most beautiful happily-ever-after novels I have ever read. They are exactly like I always imagined the Darcy marriage would be. Mrs. Lathan brilliantly captures the (timeless) essence of a loving relationship between two people. A beautiful portrait of a marriage based on enduring true love and respect. Her novels are very inspiring. They ooze love, friendship, respect and positivity.

For me Sharon Lathan's Darcy Saga novels are the absolute perfect sequels to the original Pride and Prejudice novel. I do hope there are many more to follow in future!

An amazing journey into love everlasting indeed!

Dr. Jens Kr�ger heads the Finance line of business and the SAP Innovation Center unit in the board area of Products & Innovation. Jens oversees a global development organization that is dedicated to delivering SAP S/4HANA Finance in the cloud. Prior to joining SAP in September 2013, Jens was co-representative of Dr. Plattner's research chair at the Hasso Plattner Institute for Software Systems Engineering. He was one of the founding members of the prominent joint research project with SAP, which built the first prototype of SAP s award-winning in-memory platform, SAP HANA. Jens holds a master's degree in business administration from the Free University of Berlin, Germany, and received a doctorate degree for his dissertation, Enterprise-Specific In-Memory Data Management, from the Hasso Plattner Institute at the University of Potsdam.
