Review
An entertaining, frequently hilarious story chock-full of sexy, supernatural folk. Fans of Charlaine Harris and Laurell K. Hamilton should enjoy every bite. - Barbara Ann Wright, Author ofThe Pyramid Waltz

From the Author
This book is for you.You love Urban Fantasy and you've devoured the works of Jim Butcher, Patricia Briggs, and the like. You adore snarky, geeky, quirky heroes with lots of heart and flaws as big their problems. You could read that kind of thing all day long. But you're tired of all the heroes always being straight. Maybe you're lesbian or gay, or maybe you're an ally who wants to see more representation. Maybe you just enjoy variety and find experiencing only one aspect of human sexuality somewhat limiting. Maybe you're just curious about other options. Whatever the reason, you want a book that focuses on being a strong Urban Fantasy story first, but with strong representation of other people than those most commonly depicted in popular media. You'd adore a good lesbian protagonist in a story that isn't all about being a lesbian. As I said, this book is for you. It was for me too. I hope you enjoy it.

About the Author
About the Author Shei Darksbane is a blue-haired geek with a love of awesome stories of all kinds whether they come in the form of books, shows, movies, comics, roleplay, video games, music, art, theater, etc. She is a proud lesbian and feminist, a human rights activist, and a passionate person in general who loves the wonderful, beautiful world and the incredible creativity of humankind. She refuses to give up believing in magic, fairies, and monsters under the bed, and she feels sorry for those who do.

funny, and is a straight-forward speaks your mind type ...
By Rebecca King
This is a story about a woman whose entire life changes on a chance encounter with an intruder where she works. Dakota’s world is opened up to new possibilities she’d never dreamed of. The world is far more interesting and dangerous with her introduction to the supernatural world around her. This story has a lot of potential, being the first in the series, there are many questions that go unanswered, things that aren’t delved into that will presumably be resolved as the series continues.

Initially, I felt a bit of a disconnect with Dakota’s character. In the first few chapters, she seemed a little immature for my liking, but that did change as she seemed to mature as the story progressed. That aside, she is quirky, funny, and is a straight-forward speaks your mind type which I enjoy. Dakota has great instincts about people and the confusion of those instincts with her mysterious love interest keeps you wondering how things will play out for her, which I’m hoping we learn more about as the series progresses.

As Dakota discovers more secrets about who she is and what she can, or at least should be able to do, the story truly opens up. We meet her new family and it seems like things really begin to click into place for her. One big secret of her past is revealed, but a threat to her present is as well. Things aren’t always so black and white and it is all the grey that makes you want to see how things work out for Dakota.

Keeping it Hot!:
There’s a nice mix of magic and varied supernatural species to keep you wondering what’s going to turn up next. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good werewolf book, but when you add in more, it just makes the reading that much more fun.
The side characters are a very likeable lot. They aren’t perfect, they wear their flaws, and they wear them well.
This book is building up to what looks to be a very promising storyline for the series.
The story is laced with humor. From Dakota’s grace to her geeking out moments, she’s sure to bring you a smile.
There are very suspenseful moments that keep you on your toes.
The story breaks away from cliches with characters like a vampire who is worried she could be seen as a monster.
The discussion of dyslexia and how to assist by use of certain fonts in a larger size also adds an educational bit to a sometimes misunderstood condition, which I appreciate as I have family with dyslexia.
The cover is very well done.

Cooling it Down:
There were a few minor editing details that didn’t take away from the story.
There one time Dakota addresses the reader in parentheses. I felt the story could do without that. I admit this is a pet peeve of mine, but mostly because these methods tend to be done in a way that doesn’t feel like a natural flow of the character’s thought process, distracts from the story, and can make the character seem immature.
While I loved the education of dyslexia was addressed, I felt it was an I can’t believe that’s happening moment when Dakota exaggerated the difficulty level of her dyslexia to guilt Nita, the secretary of the place she’s wanting employment, to fill out Dakota’s job application instead of just assisting her with reading the questions in the dyslexia-unfriendly font. Let me be clear, it wasn’t the asking for assistance, it was the way it was done that felt manipulative to me.
I felt the story could have used a little more details on some of the groups and beings. That being said, I do understand this is the first in the series and I'm sure we will get more to come.

Overall: Overall, I give this book a rating of 3 cups. (Please note, the author provided a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review; however, since the book is on Kindle Unlimited, that is the copy I used for the review). While I felt there were things which took away from the story for me, mostly at the beginning, they won’t apply to everyone. The plot is right up my alley with the mixture of magic, supernatural beings, mystery, and suspense. If you enjoy those types of reads, you will enjoy this one.

Just Okay
By A. R.
This book was….okay. Just okay. While it was an interesting premise, it never really gripped me. I had a hard time enjoying the “nerd/geek” aspect of it (a large facet of Dakota’s character), not because I don’t enjoy or relate to it (I very much do), but because it felt many times as if I were being beaten over the head with it. As if Dakota was screaming at the reader with every reference, “GET IT- I AM A NEERRRDD!” Another part of Dakota’s characterization that was off for me was that, while it states early on that she’s 28 years old, there were times while reading I’d question whether Dakota was actually a teenager and I had simply imagined her being in her late twenties.

It was difficult to swallow the romance between Dakota and Amorie. None of it really felt earned. I couldn’t understand the supposed instantaneous chemistry between them. I can see the attraction from Dakota’s side at least, but why is this vampire interested in this nerdy, sometimes awkward young security guard beyond mere curiosity? What on earth is it that causes her to be instantly smitten? Maybe it’s just me, but I’m tired of the vampire/supernatural being-who-is-instantly-attracted-to-the-awkward-human-for-no-discernable-reason trope. It feels like shallow and lazy wish fulfillment. If anything the connection between Raelya and Dakota felt like a more organic foundation for a romance.

With regards to the plot, there never seemed to be any real conflict other than a few manufactured moments of tension/drama that were quickly resolved, and by the end of the book, it felt like nothing much had happened.

One other thing (that is completely nitpicky on my part I admit) that I couldn’t stand was the use of the phrase: “Green Burny Hands”. For some reason these were the only words that could be used to describe green flames erupting from Dakota’s hands. It was used so often and exclusively that reading it became like nails on a chalkboard and if I’d played a drinking game every time it was mentioned, I would have died of alcohol poisoning half way through.

Anyway. This just wasn’t my cup of tea, but I’m sure many will still find it an enjoyable read.

First in series
By E.P. McLean
Not a very good book. Needs editing at the beginning as it seems to have two versians of the initial scene. Not a bad idea with a museum night guard interrupting mage and getting hit with a spell. Unfortunately, nothing is done with that and the main character seems bipolar. At one moment emotionally sixteen and the next flat unemotional nothing bothers me adult. Is like being on a roller coaster. Not helped by lack of real drama. The werewolves and vampires are so nice. Not much happens. Book lacks focus and badly needs to decide what it wants to be. At this point it is mostly dull.

About the Author
Josh Silverman was born in Washington, DC. His family moved to Orange County, California when he was four years old and he was raised there. He grew up watching Star Trek, Star Wars, and other science fiction series with his family when he was young. Star Trek; The Next Generation was a ritual in his house. In his spare time, he collected a respectable collection of comic books and Magic: The Gathering cards. When he's not writing (or working in his day job to be able to write at night), he spends his time thinking about how to avoid traffic, what he's going to have for dinner, watching cheesy apocalyptic or King Fu movies, working out or reading.

Review of The Emerald Tablet by Joshua Silverman
By J.E. Witty
The Emerald Tablet is a unique blend of fantasy, science fiction, and ancient history.

It takes place partly on modern Earth at an archeological site in the ancient Egyptian city of Siwa and partly on a distant planet called Potara, a futuristic world where society has learned to harness the elemental energy of the universe through preists schooled in the wisdom of the ancient Greek and Egyptian gods. Throughout the book, Greek and Egyptian mythology come into play, and you can tell Silverman has a substantial amount of knowledge about the two cultures.

The plot mixes a lot action with romance, friendship, sibling rivalry, mysticism and metaphysics. It has heroes, lovers, and traitors. There is a large cast of characters of varying ages and personalities. Like The Game of Thrones series, it tells the story from different perspectives and takes the reader into the mind of many characters. The main character that ties the book together seems to be Leoros, a teenage boy raised by an archeologist and a scientist, whose lifelong fascination with science fiction and comic books has filled him with a strong need to be like the heroes he reads about. His destiny is tied to Altantia, a slave girl on Potara with the gift of prophecy. Then, there is Pythos, a priest with past that has caught up with him and mentor to four apprentices whose ambitions and secret agendas drive the story. Of course, no book is complete without villains and The Emerald Tablet has several, but there will be no spoilers in this review.

The book was an interesting read, but overall I give it a mixed review. As a first novel, it bears some of the trademarks of inexperienced writers: too much telling and not enough showing (Silverman spends too much time inside the characters' heads and it gets repetitive), some plot inconsistencies, and characters that could have been more developed. But the book has a lot of potential: an absorbing fantasy world, a plot with twists and turns, and the tie in to ancient mythology that lends it credibility. Silverman also does a good job with the action scenes, painting cinematic descriptions of fights and battles. The Emerald Tablet is the first in a series, and the characters are compelling enough that I want to know what happens to them next. I'll be reading book two.

The Bookshelf Review: Review of The Emerald Tablet by Joshua Silverman
By The Bookshelf Review
What intrigued me most about this book was the description and the adventure quality. It sounded so mythical and amazing at the same time. I have to admit that the beginning of this story was a little confusing but once you get into it and learn who the people are and what the land is about you can dive right into the action-packed adventure of the story.

I really liked the different characters and the main premise of the book. Leoros was an amazing main character, he really stole the book from the other characters. I loved getting inside his head and learning about everything he was going through. The basic premise of the book is that Leoros is with his parents in Egypt and he goes through a pillar into another world, called Potara. On Potara, he learns that he is able to manipulate energy with his feelings. Who wouldn't want to be able to manipulate energy with your mind and be able to fight and do stuff with it. Then more craziness ensues, don't want to give anything away, and he has to go on an amazing journey to find himself and go up against the bad guys.

The thing about this book is that it also has an evil and adult side. I wouldn't say it is 100% young adult, it is more grounded in fantasy, but if you can take some sexual scenes, violence and some talk about both of them then it is still a really great book and perfectly fine to read for the older young adults, not so much for the really young. I really also liked the evil and dark side to this book. The antagonists weren't really your average bad guys. You felt for the girls that had to do the bad things because that is how they were raised. This book really shows how people can become corrupt and power hungry very easily.

The other thing I really loved was that this book doesn't just stay with the main character telling the story it jumps from character to character. I even loved that it tells the story of Leoros' parents when they find out he is missing. I really liked the struggle of good versus evil and the battle that came from the opposing sides. Joshua Silverman is a really good writer and knows how to tell a story from start to finish. He takes you on a ride through worlds and a variety of different characters to bring an amazing story to the page. I really can't wait to read more from Joshua Silverman.

I really suggest reading this book if you love young adult but can stomach more of an adult theme for a younger genre novel. All of the characters really have depth and good backgrounds worked into their stories. I also really liked the young romance that happened and hopefully will blossom even more in the next book. I really can not wait to read the next installment of this series and to be able to delve back into the world. The one small complaint I have is that the story was a little bit long and could have ended earlier instead of having so much description and things going on in the beginning. I was very pleasantly surprised by all the twists and turns and I really suggest reading it to everyone that likes mythology, fantasy, sci-fi, and young adult. I really suggest picking up a copy, you really won't be disappointed. I loved reading every minute of it. =]

unrealized potential
By CharDixon
I started Legends of Amun Ra- The Emerald Tablet with high hopes.
I have been interested in myths and legends, specifically Greek and Egyptian since I was a wee little one. This book sounded like it would mix some of my favorite old legends with a modern sci-fi twist.
Joshua Silverman has created a concept that is very intriguing, playing on the whole Stargate idea of aliens and earth's history. The basic ideas behind the story are great. The execution is not quite as flawless.
Let me start with the fact there are typos and other errors in the copy I received - which is an ebook. The formatting was off. There were lines of space in the middle of sentences for no reason and page breaks in incorrect places. This made it difficult to read. Occasionally some of the text almost appeared formatted for poetry - I hope that was unintentional as it made no sense. The choice of order for some of the chapters and how they were divided was confusing as well.
I understand the need to provide exposition and back story - but it is not done in a very easily understandable manner. I can respect wanting to create mystery and questions that will be answered, but that needs to be tempered with making sure the reader can firmly grasp everything they need to enjoy and understand the rest of the story.
And the one, for this book, semi-graphic sex scene at the beginning of chapter 2 seems like it comes from a completely different book. It felt ill-fitting the first time I read it and I understood why after finishing the book. It doesn't match with anything else in the book and what needed to be conveyed in that scene could have been provided in another way - much less awkwardly.
The story itself is an interesting one. Leoros is an adolescent boy who has been dragged around the world by his archaeologist mom. It is on one such dig that Leoros manages to get himself transported to another planet via an Egyptian artifact.
One thing I am still not clear on is how this other planet (and the moon that some people were banished to) fit into our timeline. At times it seemed as if the number of years talked about on Earth versus this other planet were not matching up.
There are some very interesting characters and when I could force myself past the poor formatting and rather heavy handed writing I found myself being drawn into the story. Unfortunately I would be popped right back out when I had to pause to try to clarify some point by going back in the book or when there was no clarification or reason for something that I could find.
Complicated interesting stories are great but they can't be so complicated as to be rendered almost incomprehensible. At times it felt almost as if too many ideas were being worked into one story. Egyptian mythology, magic, coming of age, space travel, saving the world, falling in love, rebelling against your parents, revenge, action - it is quite a bit for one story. Not to mention jumping back and forth between Earth, a far off planet and some moon and about 12 different story lines.
The ending of this book really chapped my hide though. It was as if someone cut the power to the TV 10 minutes before end of a movie you had never seen or ripped out the last 10 pages of a book you had never read.
It may seem like I am being really harsh and critical - and I am - but it is because there is some really great potential in there. Joshua Silverman needs a really firm editor to help focus his ideas and he could be creating something amazing. Someone to help him sift through and hone what is a potentially a really great story.
All in all this is a book with great potential but that probably needed another round of editing before being released.

Get This Book NOW! For All Chronic Clutter Hogs Especially!
By Troy Sorrell
Everyone,

I want to share a special story with you. I am an adult special education teacher who has been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome/Disorder. Almost everything in my "personal" vs "work" life has been so disorganized. I have tons of late fees, I dont pay the bills on time, ect, ect. My apartment is so cluttered that I almost was ready to give up. I would come home from work, get on the computer and then fall asleep. when I went out shopping, I would impulse buy rather than think first "Do I really need this?" I never donated items, I just kept them because I "thought I would need them someday." i found Jamie's blog on a website. I purchased this book and i'm about 1/2 way finished with decluttering my 1 bedroom apartment. Yes folks, this works for us single people too. Jamie, you have the most "fun" job in the world. I love organizing and decluttering my classroom, but I never knew how to do it with my own living space. I have made over 4 trips to Goodwill this week alone. Trust me if you have a home, you need this book. It won't cost you a thing to buy extra either. She shows how to turn a pile of junk into an organized living space.

“And, as was the case with his previous works, this book is particularly interesting, stimulating, convincing, well-written, and well-documented—using an incredible number of examples, illustrations and quotations from Captain America’s adventures.” (The Journal of Popular Culture, 17 August 2015)

“If ever there was a need for a philosophical book on a super-hero then Captain America certainly deserves one and I think you’ll find this will fill you in on his motivations and his popularity and how it has been embraced in the recent films.” (SFCrowsnest, 1 May 2014)

Review

“An illuminating, well-written volume that gives a whole new insight to Marvel Comics's Star-Spangled Avenger and what he stands for in the 21st century.”

Mark Waid, Marvel Comics writer

“An intriguing look at one of the most iconic and misunderstood characters in the history of comics. This book proves that ‘Cap’ is no one-dimensional flag-waver: he’s a fascinating and complex character who has continually reflected the changes in the equally complex nation he represents.”

J.M. DeMatteis,Writer—Captain America, Moonshadow, Brooklyn Dreams

"Captain America matters more now than ever, and this book proves it. Digging deep, Mark White excavates ‘Cap's’ complexity, highlighting lessons and virtues that can help heal America."

William Irwin, General Editor of The Blackwell Philosophy and Pop Culture Series

From the Back Cover

Clad in an American flag, the patriotic comic book character Captain America was first portrayed battling against the forces of evil unleashed during World War II. Today, however, Captain America is often seen as a throwback to a simpler time, embodying a black-and-white ethical code poorly suited to the complexities of the modern world. In The Virtues of Captain America, philosopher and pop culture expert Mark D. White argues that “Cap” is indeed a hero for the contemporary era and someone to be emulated now more than ever. White reveals that Captain America’s focus on core principles and ideals, combined with his sound judgment, compassion, and iron will, is anything but simple—and is precisely what we need to navigate21st-century problems in our personal lives, our communities, and our country as a whole. White shows us that while Captain America is often regarded as a jingoistic flag-waver, he has been written consistently as representing a kind of patriotism that adheres to basic tenets of liberty and equality while staying above partisan politics. On several occasions, in fact, Captain America’s devotion to these principles has led him to defy the American government when he feels it doesn’t live up to its own ideals. Infused with philosophical insights couched in humor, The Virtues of Captain America shows us that by following "Cap’s" example, people on both ends of the political spectrum can learn to put their differences aside and focus on their common ground—the basic principles that all of America embodies.

CAP saves the day
By Dr. Wilson Trivino
I have never actively followed comic book super heroes but no need to worry when I picked up this book The Virtues of Captain America: Modern-Day Lessons on Character from a World War II Superhero by Mark D. White.
Not only must Mark White be one of the most popular ethic professors but he has a canny ability to take complex concepts and boil them down to understandable language. The ethic courses I took in college were dry and full of boring philosophies but White makes them applicable to the lens in which we see the world.
After giving a good over view of the prevailing ethical framework, White breaks down the world of super heroes and centers his work on Captain America giving a good example. He notes in the book that we don’t really need to reinvent the wheel, just learn how to navigate it on new terrain.
This book on Cap prompt me to out and check out the new second big screen Captain American movie. In this work White also covers the gambit of the strength and weaknesses from other know superhero characters from Batman (which he wrote a book on), Ironman, and Spiderman.
Reading the book not only combines the intellectual rigor of the study of ethics but also is a fun way to think about these superheroes in a different light.
This book is great to use in a class, work setting, or anyone who wants to strengthen their ethical compass or simply enjoy reading about one of America’s great super heroes, Captain America.

Good overview of Cap
By Amazon Customer
There are lots of things we can learn from this fictional character and apply to our real lives. This book is well written. It's clear and easy to read. It's intelligent, thoughtful and heavily annotated. Mr. White seems to be smart, knowledgable and pleasant. One thing that might improve it is a chapter on how the Great Depression influenced Steve Rogers. There's an excellent online essay about this by historian Steven Attewell.

The major flaw in this book is White's attempt to accept and justify the changes in Cap's morals over the past decade. White's ineffectual defense of the change in Cap's behavior (regarding torture, killing, war and letting others do his dirty work) indicates that there is no defense for Cap behaving this way.

Why do we think circumstances are so unique in today's world? This has probably been an excuse to behave amorally since humanity began. Cruelty has always been cruelty, deceit has always been deceit, war has always been war, torture has always been torture, killing has always been killing. If Cap could fight Nazi's without compromising his integrity why can't he do it now? Is there a more insidious evil than Nazis?

White says Cap is justified in condoning torture and killing because "one person now has the potential to do much more harm than entire armies could...with much less chance of being detected beforehand." How is this different from most of the super-villians Cap has fought for the past 70 years?

The reason Cap's new morals are wrong is found in White's own words- Cap is no longer "making sure every other possible option is considered, discovered or developed first". He's no longer thinking out of the box. It almost seems like White doesn't agree with Cap's behavior over the past ten years, but he makes a half-hearted defense anyways. If you want an example of how Cap can still behave as he always has in a more realistic, modern setting check out Reiber's Marvel Knight's stories (which White himself sights in his extensive and excellent notes).

When a hero's been around a long time and passed through the hands of many writers, the true version of the character has to be whatever general traits can be traced throughout all those years. Traits that have appeared rarely should be disregarded when discussing what a character is really like.

Some heroes teach you to do good in spite of your imperfections. Cap teaches you to do good in spite of humanities imperfections. I don't want Steve Rogers to be more like us. I want him to inspire us to be more like him. Cap was always about "not sinking to their level". As he said in issue #241: "No man can be denied their rights, or else none of us has any rights! If you fight on their terms you're no better than they are!"

Superhero stories are modern myths and morality plays. Their applicability - what they say about humanity and about right & wrong - is more important than whether they have complete reality. Especially since complete realism is impossible when your premise is a person with fantastical abilities running around in costume. If realism is really so important people would complain more when heroes outrun explosions, run through hails of bullets unscathed and survive impossible amounts of destruction.

Being in a situation where you might have to consider killing someone is not very realistic, or applicable, for 99.999% of us. Most police men and women spend entire careers preventing and solving crimes without having to kill anyone. A situation where a hero truly can't avoid killing a villain is not impossible but should, realistically, be extremely rare. It should also be written for a very good reason.

In a democracy, unlike a totalitarian state, we believe in a fair trial by jury. A hero shouldn't kill if the current threat is over- even if it means the bad guy might return to menace society in the future. If you want to prevent a villain from future actions then imprisonment will do that without having to kill them. Many of the ways heroes kill villains in stories now-a-days would make them murderers. Isn't that what the bad guys do, murder people? And don't even get me started on torture!

Contriving plots where the heroes take the same actions that bad guys do means that the only difference between the good guys and the bad guys is who wins. But this is totally incorrect; villains are villains because they do heinous things. If a hero does heinous things then he or she is not a hero. I can appreciate anti-heroes, but I still look for my heroes to instruct and inspire me.

Being a hero is about doing the right thing regardless of reward or punishment. Evil, at its most basic level, is a lack of empathy. So a hero must, above all else, have compassion for all life everywhere. This sort of hero is not unrealistic; they exist in real life. Normal, everyday people aren't getting into fist fights with the minions of the Red Skull, but they are doing what's right for the greater good instead of what's easy.

It saddened me greatly when they changed Steve Rogers into the "Super Soldier". Working for government intelligence? Carrying a gun? How do you take a character who spent 40 years spouting how he was against killing and turn him into a killer? I agree with Cap's creator Joe Simon who said Cap shouldn't be carrying a gun. Steve Rogers came from an America that had been against a large standing army for 160 years. They were willing to fight when absolutely necessary but they didn't worship the military like we do now. A militarized Cap no longer represents all of us as he was intended by Simon & Kirby.

Everyone always figured that, even in the fantasy world of comics, Cap might have killed during W.W. II. It was also equally possible that, being a fantasy, Cap didn't kill during W.W. II. It was obvious to everyone that killing during a war and killing during peacetime are considered two very different things. It was obvious that Cap was against killing accept when necessary during a just war. It was also obvious that he wasn't going to fight in any of our less-just wars like Vietnam (which is why he should never have been written as having fought in Iraq).

Why Marvel felt Cap needed to start carrying a gun during the W.W. II is beyond me. Think about it: you're writing stories about costumed characters who have fantastical abilities and you say "hey this unrealistic character needs to realistically carry a gun." Kind of like worrying that the woodsman in "Little Red Riding Hood" shouldn't be able to cut grandma (alive) out of the stomach of the talking wolf that had successfully impersonated her- because boy that would just be unrealistic!

You could certainly make a case, within the fantasy world of comics, that art-student Steve Rogers wasn't comfortable with guns and he found that his shield was as effective as a gun at stopping his enemies. Before he went off to fight in the war Cap shouldn't have been shooting the fascist spies he was bringing to justice anyways.

If you're going to change the basics of who a character is why not just write about a different character? Kids need a compassionate, selfless Cap who's top priority is the common good. They need to see that heroism is not about militarism, not about blindly following orders or about being the meanest or the sneakiest. Kids need the Cap who's against lying, killing and torture. The one who never gives up searching for the option that allows him to do what's right not what's selfish or expedient.

A Comprehensive Commentary On Captain America's Character
By Amazon Customer
I enjoyed "The Virtues of Captain America" immensely. I always have multiple books on the go at any one time but once I started reading this book I steamed through it quickly. I was very impressed by the narrative arc the author maintained throughout and the extensive use of carefully chosen and illustrative examples from real-life philosophers and the fictional superheroes in the Marvel Universe and beyond.

I specifically enjoyed the idea of examining ethics and ethical perspectives from different historical periods and the concept of honor and "right action" that was explored in detail.

I didn't agree with everything I read, particularly the discussion around implications for patriotism and nationalism but I enjoy books that can both entertain and challenge my assumptions. Mark White's book exceeded my expectations on those two fronts.

I strongly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Captain America stories and for everyone who has any interest in the broader impact of comicbooks and superheroes on our society.

E. Paul Zehr
